Presentation by Associate professor Andrea Mannberg out of UiT on “risk behavior in avalanche terrain”

We are excited to announce that our final guest of 2018 are a home coming scholar that defended her dissertation at the department of Economics here in Umeå; Andrea Mannberg. She will be visiting TripleEd for week 51 and among other things give a presentation titled “Are you keeping up with the (Jeremy) Joneses?: An attempt to link social aspirations to risk-taking behavior in avalanche terrain”

Bio:
Andrea Mannberg is an associate professor in Economics at the School of Business and Economics and the Center for Avalanche Research and Education (CARE), at UiT- the Arctic University of Norway. She is currently the project leader of a four-year research project, which focuses on motivating factors behind risk-taking behavior in high risk environments. Mannberg acquired her PhD in economics at the School of Business and Economics, at Umeå University.
